The Folsom Ranch Sports Project
New Multi-Sport Recreational Facility Announced on September 22, 2022
A new multi-sport recreational facility is planned for Folsom, changing the game for athletes across the region, one play at a time.
Situated on 18.3 acres in Folsom Ranch, the state-of-the-art facility is anticipated to satisfy the growing demand for increasingly popular sports like ice hockey, figure skating, curling, public skating, and more. In addition, a 90,000 square-foot covered turf field will accommodate sports and events, including lacrosse, rugby, hockey, baseball, softball, pickleball, live music, and more.
Anticipated to host more than 1.3 million guests per year, the facility is estimated to generate over $22 million in economic activity annually for the City of Folsom, create the equivalent of approximately 449 full-time jobs, generate $888,000 in annual tax revenue, and fill a gap not otherwise served in the region.

The Team
This announcement is three years in the making and 15 years in our minds. We are so excited to finally share the news of this project that will provide new and exciting ways to play in our region. Collectively, our team has over 100 years of sports, entertainment, and recreation experience. Members of our team have played leading roles in the opening and operations of Raley Field (now Sutter Health Park), Golden 1 Center, as well as co-founding Sacramento Republic FC. Our experience in the industry and our roots in this region are important, but pale in comparison to the importance of what your experience will be in this venue. We are excited to listen and learn about how this multi-purpose, recreational sports and entertainment venue can play in your life.
